Why Massage?

Massage Therapy is part of complementary and integrative medicine and is increasingly being offered along with standard treatment for a range of medical conditions and situations. Massage can be a powerful tool in helping one take charge of their health and well-being.

Benefits of massage may include but aren’t limited to:

  • Increased circulation of blood and lymph flow

  • Relaxed musculature

  • Reduced pain

  • Improved digestion

  • Improved immune system function

  • Reduced anxiety and stress

  • Increased body awareness and ease of movement

  • Improved posture

  • Healing of soft tissue injuries

  • Reduction of scar tissue

WHAT IS NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY?

Neuromuscular therapy works with the individual using structural integration to target areas of restriction and patterns of tension in the body. Using trigger point therapy, this specialized release of soft tissue aims to balance the body as a whole and allow movement with greater ease and less pain.
